Northants Dog Training Club is an obedience dog training club whose aim is to teach you how to train your dog. We hold a number of classes throughout the evening for absolute novices with their first dog through to advanced classes for dog handlers who wish to enter obedience competitions.
NDTC has been Kennel Club registered since 1956 and is the oldest dog training club in Northamptonshire. The club is a non-profit making organisation and its aims are to teach obedience dog training from the basics up to competition level. The club is not limited to any specific breed of dog and the age of the dog is irrelevent but we advise that it has been fully inoculated.
A number of events and are also organised throughout the year some of the regular activities are Companion Dog Shows for our nominated charity and our Demonstration team that puts on displays at local fetes.
The club has many years experience in teaching people to train their dogs within the Northampton area, for more information click on the following link for a brief history of Northants Dog Training Club.
Our nominated charity
Northants Dog Training Club has raised money over many years to help support animal related charities. The charity we support is nominated and elected by our members between 1999 and 2007 we raised £4,810 for a local charity Animals in Need (Maxicare) to help towards the cost of the dogs in their care. Since then a number of charities have been included, but a constant favourite of our members has been Wellingborough Dog Welfare with £600 being handed over in 2013, over £700 in 2014, over £700 in 2015 and for the years 2015/2019 the members at our AGM decided that once again we would continue to support local charity, Wellingborough Dog Welfare.
